Alan Pentz and Ron Prater spent their respective careers helping government leaders make positive organizational changes through their work at a variety of consulting firms in the DC area. Their paths crossed when they were working for the same firm. They worked well together and started to share thoughts about they type of company that would inspire them. This company would have a real entrepreneurial curiosity for finding new ways to solve problems and bring a deep knowledge and sophistication about the way government actually works.
couldn't find a company that matched their criteria so, in 2007, Corner Alliance was born. They were excited by the challenge of starting a company from scratch - a firm with diverse opinions, void of bureaucracy and corporate hurdles. A small, innovative company, Corner Alliance helps its clients think differently and thrives off of the process of finding practical and realistic solutions. We work with leaders to devise strategies to overcome obstacles and turn them into opportunities.
Corner Alliance comes from a philosophy Alan and Ron wanted to infuse into all the work we do with our clients. It's a simple model, which we now call The Corner Alliance, that helps Government leaders address the unique challenges they face. In the public sector there are multiple challenges that can create tension between process and results. The model can help to turn these challenges into opportunities if leader recognizes and harnesses the power of the communities they serve as well as their administration and Congress.
is passionate, opinionated and brings a wide range of experience to back it up. From Web 2.0 technology expertise to a deep understanding of the public safety space, we believe that success in government requires leaders and their teams to have a deep understanding of their communities and work closely with the communities they serve.
attracts people who value what government does and can do. Ron and Alan aspired to create a company with a reputation of getting things done even when circumstances present various challenges. Our clients are put in tough situations and we want to be the ones helping them navigate those obstacles. Becoming part of the Corner Alliance community means no idea is off limits. We value diverse views and approaches and we want individuals that feel comfortable bringing their opinions to the table.
Alan and Ron hope they've created a company that has the reputation for knowing how to navigate government and speak honestly with government leaders to help them make positive and innovative changes within their agencies. |
