As we look forward to Spring, we also look forward to one of the largest annual conferences that focuses on wireless communications for the public safety and emergency response community, the International Wireless Communications Expo, or IWCE. First responders, government agencies, vendors, manufacturers, and others descend on Las Vegas for a week to hear about the latest communications technology breakthroughs during the conference sessions and to touch and feel the cool new products at the Exhibit Hall. The conference consists of a two-day College of Technology, two-day Exhibit Hall, and three days of conference sessions, keynotes, and other networking events. The conference is scheduled for March 24-28, 2014 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Several recent events hold promise that IWCE 2014 will be especially enlightening, including the recent H Block spectrum auctions, NTIA’s SLIGP workshops, and some BTOP progress.
Here are the sessions that we won’t be missing:
- Session W01: Implications of FirstNet: Policy, Procedures, Management, and Performance
- Session W18: Public Safety LTE and Network Modeling Updates
- Wednesday, March 26 Opening Keynote and Afternoon Keynote
- Session TH09: Are you FirstNet Ready? Preparing for LTE Wireless Communications
- Session TH15: The Evolving Connected Public Safety Officer: The Coolest Gear, the Latest Tech
Other hot topics making an appearance on the “Conference At A Glance” include the T Band, LMR migration and integration, security, and mobile applications. Several of Corner Alliance’s clients will be presenting at the conference and/or in the Exhibit Hall; IWCE is proving to be one of most informational, relevant conferences for the public safety community and offers great networking opportunities as well.
Are you planning on attending IWCE? If so, what topics are you most interested in hearing about or what sessions seem the most compelling to you and your organization?
