Alan Pentz, CEO & Founder
Alan has worked with government leaders in the R&D and innovation communities across DHS, Commerce, NIH, state and local government, and the non-profit sector among others. He has worked in the consulting industry for over ten years with Corner Alliance, SRA, Touchstone Consulting, and Witt O'Brien's. Before consulting, Alan served as a speechwriter and press secretary for former U.S. Senator Max Baucus and as a legislative assistant for former U.S. Representative Paul Kanjorski. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ami Retamoza, Chief operating officer
Ami joined Corner Alliance as a Director and member of the Leadership Team. She is now Corner Alliance’s Chief Operating Officer. Her personal mission is to develop a confident future generation of consulting leaders.
Ami has dedicated her career to working on some of the nation’s toughest challenges through a variety of project management techniques, governance methodologies, and program strategies. She knows that the only way to provide full service to a client is also to have an exceptional team of consultants. Ami is an undergraduate of Hollins University in biology – a Southern Virginia all-women’s college that shaped her immensely – and George Washington University where she received a Master’s in Policy.

Jenn Neely, Director of Contracts & Finance
Since joining Corner Alliance, Jenn has focused her career on internal business operations. Her area of expertise includes contract management, financial management, revenue forecasting, proposal development, and internal controls. She has diligently worked to help the company build structure and processes to promote sustainability and growth.
Before joining Corner Alliance, Jenn worked with organizations at the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the General Services Administration specializing in strategic management, internal controls and business process improvement, public safety initiatives, and federal budget formulation and execution. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from York College of Pennsylvania.

Cheryl Wadhwa, Director of Human Resources
Before joining Corner Alliance, Cheryl worked in HR at PR firms and software companies. She’s all about process improvement and making organizations more effective and efficient as they grow. She’d led HR at three prior organizations and has expertise in recruitment, training, benefits, performance management and compliance. What she loves most is creating a culture where people are excited about Mondays… and every day of the week! That means a culture of high performers where employees are contributing in meaningful ways, are growing in their careers and feel valued for what they do. Cheryl has a Bachelor’s of Arts in French and Spanish from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a Master’s of Arts in Public Communication from American University.

Ryan Felts, Portfolio Manager
Ryan's consulting career has been dedicated to supporting federal clients in the public safety communications domain. He is driven to solve client problems by creating custom solutions built on research, data, and true stakeholder engagement. His areas of experience and expertise include facilitation, stakeholder engagement, organizational strategy and transformation, and public safety communications. Prior to joining Corner Alliance, Ryan worked at Touchstone Consulting. Ryan holds a BA in Communication from Virginia Tech.

Darcy Ziegler, Portfolio Manager
Darcy's passion is bringing fresh perspectives to government clients and challenging them to buck the status quo in order to create thriving, successful programs. She has significant experience in project and program management, public safety communications, organizational development, strategic communications, and technology innovation efforts. Before joining Corner Alliance, Darcy worked on Congressional campaigns and in the non-profit space.
Darcy is a Colorado native, University of Colorado Boulder alumnus, sports fanatic, and craft beer enthusiast.

Clare Gallaher, Business Development Manager
Clare has supported diverse Federal programs at the Department of Commerce, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of State including managing Federal grant programs, interagency collaborative groups, and policy driven initiatives. At Corner Alliance she has served as project manager, portfolio manager, and now business development Manager. Before joining Corner Alliance she worked for a technology and change management firm in Burlington, VT. She holds a BA from the University of Vermont and an MA in Policy from American University.
